Biography

The Rolling Stones is a British rock band composed of Mick Jagger (voice, harmonica, guitar), Keith Richards (guitars, voice), Ronnie Wood (guitars, choirs) and Charlie Watts (drums, percussion). It is one of the most important bands and among the major expressions of the blend of rock and blues music genres, the genre that is the evolution of the rock & roll of the 1950s, which is revisited in harder lyrics with lascivious rhythms, aggressive singing , continued references to sex and drugs.

For their transgressive nature, they were called the "ugly, dirty, and bad" and opposed to the most reassuring Beatles, although such opposition was often created by the Rolling Stones themselves, which behaved in a deliberately antithetical way to the Beatles (with which they were always an excellent relationship of esteem and friendship), proposing an alternative model for use and consumption of music printing. The Rolling Stones are an authentic milestone in the evolution of 20th-century rock music, bringing discontent and consequently the protests of entire generations into the spotlight, embodying the troubled spirit of the great bluesmen of the past and choosing the title of a song of one of these (Muddy Waters) as their group name.

The Rolling Stones were admitted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1985 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004. The Rolling Stone magazine ranked them fourth in the ranking of the greatest artists of all time, in their career they sold more than 250 million copies. They have released thirty studio albums, eighteen live albums and numerous collections, such as Let It Bleed, Beggars Banquet and Sticky Fingers are considered among the most acclaimed masterpieces of rock history, the pinnacle of Stones' success and creativity touched by the publication of what has always been considered their masterpiece, the album Exile on Main St., released in 1972 and considered by critics as one of the best LPs in rock history, Rolling Stone magazine placed it at seventh placed on the list of the top 500 albums according to Rolling Stone.
Over the last twelve months, Rolling Stones have been on the rooftop world with the release of the formidable album "Blue & Lonesome", a return to their blues roots. This record recorded in three days and of immense success has reached the top of the rankings in fifteen countries. They also published a documentary honored by critics, "Olé Olé Olé! A trip across South America", directed by Paul Dugdale.
